A Residential Discipleship Ministry

What Is It?

It is a ministry of Gospel Community Church, Manipur. It is a residential student ministry aimed at both young men who are pursuing their secular studies in Imphal City and those who desire to be in the Christian ministry. These men will stay at the church’s facility. They will be involved in the life of our local church. The church will disciple them with various available means, from teaching them how to study the Bible to reading a Christian book with one of the church members. They will also have the opportunity to learn basic knowledge of computers and other life skills. The Ministry has its origin in the desire to prepare men for the Christian ministry from the grassroots level.

What Is the Aim?

Our church desires to see these young men grow in the ways and things of the Lord. We desire these men to walk with the Lord closely. Moreover, we would also encourage them to the Christian ministry, especially to serve the church. If the Lord would put to some of them the aspiration for the Christian ministry, and after it is recognized by the church, they will be encouraged and helped to pursue theological studies to be equipped well to serve God and His people in the full-time ministry.

What Would Life Look Like?

The Residents will be able to pursue their secular studies. A sufficient amount of time will be given for studies and the church expects them to be faithful. Other than this, they also will be involved in the life of the church. They will attend our church’s worship services, Bible studies, prayer meetings, and other events that our church hosts. They also will serve the church in various ways like keeping the church facility clean, helping in cleaning and arranging worship places for worship services and church meetings, etc. All of these are to develop a life of serving for our Lord came to serve and not to be served (Matt. 20:26-28) and we want these men to imitate Christ in all walks of life even in this area.

Who Are Eligible?

As for the time being, the ministry is open only to men who are single and believers.
